Defendant, Henry Barnes, was charged with the crimes of burglary with intent to commit rape, burglary with intent to commit theft, rape and aggravated battery. At the conclusion of a jury trial, the trial court directed a finding of not guilty to the charge of burglary with intent to commit theft, and the jury found defendant not guilty of rape and of burglary with intent to commit rape, but guilty of aggravated...
