The defendant, Lawrence Reddick, was convicted in a bench trial for the sale of a narcotic drug in violation of chapter 38, section 22-3 of the Ill Rev Stats, and was sentenced to serve a term of not less than ten or more than ten years and one day in the Illinois State Penitentiary.
