The defendant, James A. Bartlett, was convicted of the crime of unarmed robbery (MCLA § 750.530 [Stat Ann 1954 Rev § 28.798]) upon his plea of guilty. He appeals, claiming:

(1) that the trial judge did not comply with the requirements of GCR 1963, 785.3 in that, before accepting the defendant's guilty plea and sentencing, he did not, by direct questioning of the defendant, establish the crime and the defendant's participation in its commission...
