The appellant, tried on 7 and 8 October 1968 at a court trial in the Criminal Court of Baltimore under an indictment charging that on 16 June 1963 he did assault with intent to murder John Nolan and did assault and beat the same person, was found guilty generally and a general sentence of 15 years from 15 June 1963 was imposed.1 On appeal he claims only that the trial court erred
