Grant County Constructors, prime contractor on the Columbia River Wanapum hydroelectric project, seeks recovery against its subcontractor and the latter's insurance carriers for fire damage to a generator shaft. The trial court, ultimately seeing an ambiguity in the contract between the two contractors and in the insurance policy, admitted parol evidence to explain the ambiguity.
