DIMOND, Justice.

A jury found appellant guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon. An appeal has been taken to this court.

Appellant's conviction arose out of an incident that occurred on July 8, 1967. Shortly after midnight, David Baker and Malcolm Brown drove to the Forest Park Golf Course, near Anchorage, to meet some friends. Near the golf course they turned on to a dead-end road.
