The appeal is from a judgment wherein the landowners, in a condemnation proceeding, were awarded $534,377.19 as the market value of 1,303 acres of land taken for use in connection with the Livingston Dam and Reservoir in San Jacinto County. Judgment was entered upon the verdict of the jury in answer to a single issue finding the market value of the land taken, exclusive of the minerals, to be $400.00 per acre.
