Plaintiff-appellee, Mr. Robert Wegner, brought suit against the defendant-appellant, The Rodeo Cowboys Association, Inc., for libel. The complaint alleges that the Association maliciously and falsely published in its semi-monthly paper, "Rodeo Sports News," that the appellee had been suspended as a member of the Association. The jury returned a verdict of $5,000 actual damages and $20,000 exemplary damages. Final judgment was entered on the verdict...
