Alva Carl Reynolds and his wife Gertrude filed a damage suit against Willis E. Arnold and Western Gillette, Inc. In Count I he sued for personal injuries and in Count II she sued for loss of services of her husband. A trial jury returned verdicts of $30,000 and $2,500 on the two counts, respectively. The trial court ordered a partial new trial as to Count I. On the new trial of Count I there was a jury verdict for $70,000 in favor of the husband...
