At the request of the Secretary of the Army, this action was filed by the United States of America as an eminent domain proceeding authorized by pertinent statutes for the purpose of acquiring lands to provide for flood control in the Yazoo Basin Headwater Project, Mississippi. The Declaration of Taking was filed June 20, 1967, the estate taken being the fee simple title to the lands described therein...
