JOSLIN, Justice.

This is a petition for the assessment of damages for the taking of a parcel of real estate for housing purposes by the Housing Authority of the City of Newport pursuant to G.L. 1956, title 45, chapter 25. A jury in the superior court assessed damages at $5,100 plus interest. After judgment in that amount had been entered, the petitioner's motion for a new trial was granted unless the respondent would consent to an additur of $1,900...
