The defendant, Vincente M. Casa, was convicted of violating section 47 of the Uniform Act Regulating Traffic (Ill Rev Stats 1965, c 95 1/2, § 144), in that he was driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and was fined $200 and costs.
