Willie Conley, while undertaking to cross on foot a street in Ashland, was struck and killed by an automobile driven by Robert Lee Stevens. Conley's administratrix brought suit against Stevens seeking damages for wrongful death. At the close of all the evidence the trial court directed a verdict for the defendant, holding that Conley was contributorily negligent as a matter of law and that the facts did not warrant submission of the case to the jury on...
