On or about May 2, 1965, plaintiffs, Anne C. and Marie F. LaPlace, while walking on a highway on the island of St. Thomas, were struck by an automobile driven by Oswald R. Chinnery. Mr. Chinnery did not stop to assist the injured plaintiffs nor did he report the accident to the police. Within a few days of the accident the police notified Chinnery...
