This action arises from an intersectional automobile collision which occurred at the junction of U. S. Highway 190 (Highway 190) and North Causeway Approach (Causeway), St. Tammany Parish, at approximately 7:22 P.M., February 12, 1966. One of the vehicles involved in the collision was a 1960 Ford owned by Ralph W. Schmeckpeper, insured of plaintiff Phoenix of Hartford Insurance Co. (Phoenix), and being driven at the time by Schmeckpeper's
