OPINION

FRASER, Chief Justice.

James H. Butler, the record owner of a 157.22-acre tract of land in Glasscock County, Texas, brought this suit as plaintiff in an action in trespass to try title, against L. H. (Bud) Hanson, defendant. Mr. Hanson, by way of answer and cross-action, made claim to the entire acreage by virtue of adverse possession.
