Defendant was originally charged with five counts of violation of section 288 of the Penal Code. Trial by jury was duly waived and the matter was submitted on the transcript of the preliminary examination. On motion of the People, the information was amended, by interlineation, so as to include language charging a violation of section 647a of the Penal Code.
