On February 18, 1963, appellant, Wayne Russell, was charged by information in Yakima County with the crime of nonsupport of his seven minor children, all then under the age of 16 years.

In March, 1963, appellant entered a plea of not guilty to the charge, waived trial by jury, and was convicted following trial before the court on March 25, 1964. The trial court thereupon entered a judgment and an order suspending sentence. By the terms of this...
