These two consolidated cases arose out of an accident in which a three year old boy, Billy Cleghorn, was seriously burned about the feet and legs.

Since the plaintiffs-in-error here were the plaintiffs below and the defendant-in-error here was the defendant below, we will refer to the parties here as plaintiffs and defendant, in addition to referring to them by name...
