DENECKE, Justice.

The plaintiff was the police chief of Baker, Oregon, and brought this action against the defendant Benton, who was the mayor of Baker, and the defendant Neuberger, a councilman of Baker, alleging that they wrongfully coerced the city manager to discharge him. Plaintiff recovered a verdict for general and punitive damages against both defendants and they appeal.
