RICHARD v. CURTIS

No. 2521.

216 So.2d 676 (1968)

Marie RICHARD, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. Lois Vickers CURTIS et al., Defendants-Appellants.

Court of Appeal of Louisiana, Third Circuit.

Rehearing Denied January 10, 1969.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Davidson, Meaux, Onebane & Donohoe, by J. J. Davidson, III, Lafayette, for defendants-appellants.

J. Minos Simon, Lafayette, for plaintiff-appellee.

Before TATE, FRUGE, and SAVOY, JJ.

SAVOY, Judge.

This is an action in tort. Plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident. Liability is not at issue on appeal. The only issue for determination is whether a jury award in favor of plaintiff in the sum of $21,200.00 was so excessive so as to be a clear abuse by the jury under the guidelines set forth in Gaspard v. LeMaire, 245 La. 239, 158 So.2d 149
