The appellant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus was denied by the district court without an evidentiary hearing. We reverse.
The appellant was convicted in the Louisiana state court for theft and given a sentence of six years. The judgment was affirmed upon appeal. State v. Sanford, 1965,
