Roger A. Lesoine, defendant, who was represented by retained counsel, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with the attempted murder of Edward Leon Woodley. The jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged in the indictment and fixed his punishment at confinement in the State penitentiary for a period of five years.
