This appeal involves the construction of an automobile liability insurance policy issued by Erie Insurance Exchange, hereinafter called Erie, to Warren Allen Nichols, hereinafter called Nichols. Nichols is a resident of Jessup, Maryland, and the policy was written in that state.

Harry Quesenberry obtained a judgment in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Virginia, against Nichols for damages sustained in an automobile accident that occurred...
