On June 10, 1965, Charles Rudolph Rumbough, defendant-appellant, pleaded guilty to a violation of Section 2312, Title 18, U.S.C.1 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, Northeastern Division. His case was referred to the Probation Officer for pre-sentence investigation and he was released on $500 bond. He had been in federal custody since May 17th, having been transferred from state custody...
