The issue in this case is whether the defendant, Jessel M. Ourso, Sheriff of the Parish of Iberville, whose removal from office is sought under the provisions of La.Const. Art. 9, Sections 1, 6 and 7 is entitled to trial by jury. The trial judge denied defendant's request for a trial by jury.
