This is a suit for the proceeds of an insurance policy brought by Carmen V. Sylva, Plaintiff (appellant here) against Lorraine Leleihua Sylva, Defendant (appellee here) and the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Carmen V. Sylva will hereafter be referred to as "Carmen", Lorraine Leleihua Sylva as "Lorraine" and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company as "the Company".
