The appellant was found guilty by a jury in the Criminal Court of Baltimore of murder in the first degree and attempted robbery with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to imprisonment for the balance of his natural life on the murder conviction and to a concurrent sentence of 10 years on the attempted robbery conviction.
