Appellant Irving Kohn and his assistant Peter Baird were jointly indicted by the grand jury on charges of conspiracy and extortion. (Pen. Code, §§ 182, 518.) The indictment contained six counts. They were acquitted on one count of conspiracy, but convicted on all remaining counts. Appellant was sentenced to the Department of Corrections for the term prescribed by law, with the express provision in the judgment that, as to counts 2, 4 and 6 sentences...
