The defendant, Junior Savage, was tried on a murder charge before the court without a jury. This appeal is from the defendant's conviction for murder by the Circuit Court of Winnebago County. Defendant has been sentenced by the court to serve a term of not less than thirty nor more than fifty years in the Illinois State Penitentiary.
