Defendants were indicted for failure to pay the excise tax on wagering and the occupational tax imposed and for conspiracy to defraud the Government by evading payment of both taxes. Defendants were subsequently arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty. The trial of the case was set for January 9, 1968, at which time the defendants entered a plea of guilty and we ordered...
