A denial of appellant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus is the subject of review in this appeal. The appellant, who was convicted of four counts of armed robbery1 and sentenced to four concurrent terms of imprisonment of not less than thirty years nor more than life, claimed that one conviction was void because the jury returned a verdict of "not guilty".
