McCALEB, Justice.

Appellant was indicted for the murder of Mrs. Rucell Perritt Millien whom he shot fatally with a pistol at her residence in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 23, 1966. After trial by jury, appellant was found guilty of manslaughter and was subsequently sentenced under a bill of information as a second felony offender to serve thirty years in the state penitentiary. On this appeal reliance is had on five bills of exceptions timely reserved during proceedings...
