After a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County, the defendant, Hazen Craig, was found guilty of robbery and on November 7, 1963, he was sentenced to a term of not less than three nor more than ten years in the penitentiary. On appeal his conviction was affirmed by the appellate court. (People v. Craig, 75 Ill.App.2d 29
