Bill J. Newnom and Floyd Lambertson, partners (defendants and respondents), operated a service station and parking lot on the east side of U.S. Highway 99, approximately 1/2 mile from the terminal building of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. They also furnished complete automotive service, and made minor mechanical repairs.
