The defendant, Christie Laverne Kimmel, appeals from a conviction of robbery in the first degree (K.S.A. 21-527).

Defendant was arrested on October 7, 1966, and charged with the robbery of a service station attendant on October 6, 1966. He retained counsel and waived a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 27, 1966. An information was filed in the district court on November 14, 1966. On March 3, 1967...
