Plaintiff was a passenger in an automobile owned and operated by Mario Ares. Defendant Owens was an employee of Preston Refrigeration Company, a partnership of which Gene Preston was a member. Plaintiff sued both Owens and Preston for damages due to personal injuries alleged to have been received by her when the Owens automobile collided with the rear end of the vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger.
