This action was brought by 16 insurance company plaintiffs, the subrogees of 28 insureds, against defendant, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, to recover damages arising out of an "explosion and fire" occurring in a two-story commercial building at 19489-19491 Livernois avenue, Detroit, Michigan, on December 15, 1960.
