Defendant was arrested on a charge of possessing narcotics. Upon arraignment, a physical examination of defendant was ordered pursuant to the provisions of article 9 of the Mental Hygiene Law. Defendant subsequently entered a plea of guilty and a hearing was held to determine whether or not he was an addict.
