Appellant was charged by information with violation of D.C.Code 1967, § 22-3203, which makes it unlawful for one to own or have in his possession a pistol if he has previously been convicted of possession of a prohibited weapon in violation of D.C. Code 1967, § 22-3214. When the case came on for hearing before a judge without a jury, all witnesses, including defendant, were sworn in a group.
