This is a post conviction proceeding in which the court denied post conviction relief but granted a right of direct appeal, despite the lapse of more than 2 years from the time of sentencing on the overruling of the motion for a new trial in the orginal case. The record shows that the defendant was represented by competent counsel at the original trial. The defendant was sentenced on February 4, 1965. No notice of appeal was filed within 1
