STEEL, District Judge:

Defendant is charged in a one-count information with the unlawful possession of a firearm (sawed-off shotgun), as defined in 26 U.S.C. § 5848(1) (1964), in violation of § 5851. The alleged dimensions of the gun which defendant is charged with possessing meet the definition of a firearm under 26 U.S.C. § 5848(1). This section forms part of the National Firearms Act, an interrelated statutory scheme for the taxation...
