I dissent.

On June 26, 1959, petitioner Richard Bell was convicted by a jury of operating a motor vehicle without the consent of its owner, conspiracy to commit robbery, larceny of an automobile, aggravated robbery, and two counts of commission of a crime of violence while armed with a firearm.
