Defendant-appellant was convicted by a jury in the Branch county circuit court of assault with intent to commit robbery unarmed1 in that he allegedly beat, struck, and kicked the complainant in a shed by a railroad track in Quincy, Michigan. He was sentenced to the State prison for a term of 5 to 15 years.
