In June of 1959, Henry Lee Edwards, then 13 years of age, suffered a traumatic amputation of both legs when he stepped off a train which was operated by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company (the Milwaukee), on the tracks of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company (the Pennsylvania) and a subsidiary.
