On November 6, 1966, between 6:00 and 6:30 P.M., during a gang fight in front of the Carlton Theatre on Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, Luis Maldonado was stabbed to death. William L., then aged 14 years, the appellant, was one of several persons arrested thereafter for the homicide. By petition of Detective Edmund O'Rourke, dated November 7, 1966, William was accused of the stabbing, along with two others...
