Defendant, Jerry H. Campbell, was tried in Hennepin County District Court without a jury1 and convicted of the crime of murder in the first degree for the shooting death of one Wilford Hanson in the course of an armed robbery of Hanson's Super Fair Store in Minneapolis on October 21, 1965.
