JAMESON, District Judge.

At the close of the Government's case and again at the close of all evidence, the defendant made a motion for a judgment of acquittal. The court reserved decision on the second motion and submitted the case to the jury, which returned a verdict of guilty of voluntary manslaughter. The motion for judgment of acquittal thereafter was renewed by the defendant, briefs were filed by the respective parties, and oral argument...
