This is a suit under the provisions of 46 U.S.C.A. Sec. 688, the "Jones Act." The plaintiff, appellant here, sought recovery of damages for alleged personal injuries sustained by him while a member of the crew of a vessel owned and operated by the defendant, appellee here.
