This admiralty proceeding was begun by appellee's petition for exoneration from or limitation of liability for damages resulting from a flash fire on a self-propelled barge owned by it. The appellant filed an answer to the petition and a claim for damages for alleged serious personal injuries growing out of the incident. Eight months after issue was joined, the trial court sua sponte entered an order striking the appellant's answer...
